Privacy at Moojez

Page views are counted so we know which books are read. For this count, a one-way code is made from your IP address and browser; it changes every day and cannot be traced back to you. Your IP address, browser name and anything else about you are not stored. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers.

If a page breaks in your browser, or the app breaks on your phone, an error report - the page or screen, the browser or app version, and the error itself, with nothing about you - is sent to us so we can fix it. It is deleted three months after it was last seen.

• Mobile number — the key to your account. It is used only to send your login code: no advertising SMS, and it is never given to anyone else.
• First name — only if you write it, so we can call you by it. It can stay empty.
• What you read — the books you have saved, the parts you have opened or finished, the stars you have given a book, the sentences you have highlighted and the books you bought on their own. This is your library, and that is why it is kept.
• Devices — the name of each device you have signed in on (such as the browser or phone), the IP address and time of its last use; so you can see your devices in the settings, sign out of any of them, and your account is not open in more than three places.
• Notification address — if you allowed notifications, the address your browser or phone gives us for sending them; used only for the free book of the day.
• Login codes — hashed, with the number and the IP address that asked for them, so nobody can flood a number with codes. The code itself is never written down, and this record is deleted after a month, or sooner when the account is deleted.
• Support messages — if you write to us: the message, the number you gave us to reply on, and the device name; so we can answer you. Deleted after a year, or sooner when the account is deleted.
• Payments — the amount, the plan, the time and the payment gateway's reference code; for accounting and for following up any payment. Your card number never reaches us; it is entered at the bank's gateway.

None of this is sold or given to anyone, and it is used for nothing but running Moojez.

In the settings, on the site or in the app, choose «حذف حساب» (Delete account) at the bottom. Your mobile number, name, library, stars, highlights, devices, support messages and notification address are deleted at once and cannot be restored. If you sign in again with the same number, a new account is made from scratch.

The only thing that remains is the record of payments - amount, time and reference code - which financial accounting requires. It is separated from your account and is no longer linked to your number or your name.

To leave one device, the «خروج» (Sign out) button is enough; everything you have read stays where it is.
